Reflective, Responsive and Research Driven, our courses offer subject-focussed teacher education with a rich and ‘ambitious curriculum’ (OfSTED 2023). With an integrated training programme shared across the university and school, you’ll learn from experienced teachers in school Monday to Thursdays and join our vibrant learning communities of trainee teachers in your phase and subject on Fridays at the Sussex campus. On qualifying you can opt to progress to our part time Masters in Education for Teachers with 60 credits (one third of an MA) advanced standing.
As a research-intensive university, our courses are underpinned by cutting edge research and balanced with a practical focus enabling you to become a reflective teacher who puts the learning, inclusion and wellbeing of your students first.
