Statutory induction is the bridge between initial teacher training and a career in teaching. It combines a structured programme of development, support and professional dialogue, underpinned by the Early Career Framework, with monitoring and an assessment of performance against the Teachers’ Standards. The induction programme should support the early career teacher and provide them with the necessary training to ensure that they can demonstrate that their performance against the Teachers’ Standards is satisfactory by the end of the period. Induction should provide a foundation for ECTs and equip them with the tools to be an effective and successful teacher.

We offer both the Early Career Framework (ECF) and an Appropriate Body service to over 850 ECTs in schools across Hampshire and Surrey, with more joining all the time due to our reputation for excellence and cost-effective programmes.

You will find a wealth of information about the Early Career Framework and Induction reforms within the sections below.

We have new cohorts of ECTs commencing at the start of each school term to allow for flexible changes in staffing.

Why our ECTs choose SFET Teaching School Hub.

Let SFET Teaching School Hub help you to navigate and successfully implement the induction of early career teachers at your school.
