SFET’s inaugural Teaching School Hub Curriculum event

This afternoon, SFET Teaching School Hub celebrated collaboration and partnerships with their inaugural Curriculum Event. The event provided the opportunity to hear from Steve Smith, the Director of HISP Research School who shared an insight into what we mean by evidence informed practice. Dr Ajay Sharman, Regional Lead for STEM Learning (an approach to learning that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) described how we can raise the achievement and aspiration of all young people in STEM.

Attendees were provided with the opportunity to explore the wealth of opportunities and resources available for their school/organisation with representatives from:

  • North East Hants and Surrey Maths Hub
  • West Sussex and Hampshire Computing Hub
  • Downland Community School - Sussex & Surrey Science Learning Partnership
  • STEM Ambassador Hub
  • Schools Alliance for Excellence (SAfE)

There was the opportunity to learn more about the suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) provided by Schools Together Success Now (STSN) and the Early Career Framework (ECF) offer run by SFET Teaching School Hub.

Thank you to all involved for your enthusiasm, collaboration, and participation.
